It may well help to bond the team. But the evidence is that these trips have fuck all affect on results. The boys can train in the heat, have a nice meal and then all sit in and play Rummy on the veranda. Great. But to my mind if it doesn't affect results why bother. They can all sit and play Rummy on the veranda at the training ground. Just need to wear a cardigan.

I never think these trips are a good idea - we're always shit afterwards, I don't see the point of inflicting long plane journeys on players for no real reason and, frankly, don't think rewarding multi millionaire players for being out the fa cup and being a bit shit
If you could prove that it has benefits and that maybe we'd have 0 points from those games had we not gone, I might listen. But it seems a pointless waste to me
